Fucked Up at the Scala
Dig out your Halloween costume for this one. Fucked Up bring their annual Halloween party to London and there are prizes for the best dressed too. No tricks here, just treats.
Anna Calvi at Shepherd’s Bush Empire
Anna Calvi blew us away earlier in the year in Shepherd’s Bush, again at Field Day and we reckon she will make it a hattrick at this sold out show. One of our artists of the year.
Zulu Winter at CAMP Basement
New kids on the block Zulu Winter have been impressing all and sundry with their epic live show, huge first single (out on King Maker label Double Denim) and finding their way on to the likes of Pitchfork and The Guardian too. A big tip for next year, get onboard earlier at CAMP.
GOTYE at Kings College
Another sold out show brings Australian based and hugely fun Gotye to London. Those who got with this evening plan early had the right idea, kicking off the party season with gusto.
Duologue at Electrowerkz
Tender and deceptively big productions from Duologue are the order of the day here. Duologue has excellent taste too, as evidenced by his recent mix for us. In support is the brilliant Throwing Snow too.
Chairlift upstairs at Electrowerkz
Early architects of the current chillwave scene, Brooklyn duo CHAIRLIFT’s early stated aims included making music for haunted houses, an apt intention for their ethereal sound.
Coming to the attention of the masses after their single Bruises was used on an iPod ad the band have built up a much-deserved cult following.
