Watch: Zulu Winter's debut video
Loving this first foray into the visual form by recent Eat Your Own Ears favourites Zulu Winter. Lovely stuff and a quite epic piece of music too.

Watch: The Horrors on Jools
The Horrors cap off an amazing few months with a seriously good performance on Jools last night. Take a look at ‘I Can See Through You’ above. As well as playing a long sold out show for us tonight at The Roundhouse they also curated an amazing line up for the Warehouse project with us for the weekend.
Gruff Rhys on Lauren Laverne (Listen Again)
Gruff Rhys had a star turn on Lauren Laverne’s show earlier today talking about the tour and his new EP/App Whale Trail as well as playing live.
As ever Gruff was hilarious - probably one of our favourite bits of radio of the year.

Watch: Gruff Rhys - Sensations in the Dark (Live)
Love this live clip of Gruff playing ‘Sensations in the Dark’ on Channel 4’s CTRL programme earlier in the year. Outside of Jools it’s not often you see quality live music on television (apart from the annual Glastonbury splurge, and Rockfeedback’s excellent fest coverage this year) so this one is a bit of a treat. We are looking forward to seeing Gruff in all his...
New sounds: Patten + Cities Aviv
PATTEN
Patten just released his debut EP on No Pain in Pop. That EP comes with the copy/paste friendly title: GLAQJO XAACSSO and is chock full of mutant electronic beats and glacial synths. He plays for us tomorrow night as part of Arthur Beatrice’s Open Assembly show.

Mr. Aviv (pictured) has been gathering steam on the other side of the...
Remix: Shit Robot x Planningtorock
Planningtorock is definitely keeping busy. A free EP last week and now a remix of Shit Robot. Factor that in with the London date tommorow night and this gal is keeping us pretty busy. It’s perfect Autumnal music with a bit of icy cool to it that is working just fine on this Monday morning. Stream it below:

Gruff Rhys on Whale Trail
We blogged some details of Gruff Rhys’ upcoming multimedia experience and the man himself fills in some blank spots in this short video!
The show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire looks like being a special occassion, capping off a great year for the man.
Listen: Planningtorock Bonus EP (Via Abeano)
Doorway (Bonus EP) by planningtorock
An early weekend treat in the form of a brand new set of songs from Planningtorock. The bonus EP comes ahead of her show for us next week which we are terribly excited about. Support from Creep and Romy XX at that date.
Listen: King Krule - The Noose of Jah City
We are big fans of this great new song from King Krule. Take a listen above as we anticipate seeing him live in London soon.
Bert Jansch R.I.P.
Hugely sad news about legend Bert Jansch yesterday. We’ve been remembering him through his music all day yesterday and today. Join in with this terrific video.

New bands: NZCA/LINES + DJ JD SPORTS
NZCA/LINES
NZCA/LINES is London’s newest smoothie, laying down some great pop/R&B hooks over the top of a Charlie Alex March production. Check out ‘Compass Points’ above and await the next pop smash along with the rest of us.
DJ JD SPORTS
A new, and slightly bonkers side-project from King Krule (formerly Zoo Kid) he is clearly having some fun with this, lots of strange...
Video: Metronomy - Everything Goes My Way
One of our favourite of the new Metronomy songs gets an autumnal video complete with a herd of deer. This one looks like it was also filmed in Devon, but far away from the fake-Miami Torbay of the video for ‘The Bay’. Metronomy play a sold out show tonight for us at the Royal Albert Hall. We couldn’t be more excited.

Show: Open Assembly
Another great bill from Arthur Beatrice and their Open Assembly nights.
Video: Chilly Gonzales on Piano Talk
7 months ago Chilly Gonzales played some select ‘Piano Talk’ shows and gave an interview about a show he was preparing for in Scotland for 200 people. For the next week and a half he plays for Eat Your Own Ears in front of a much smaller crowd - the distillation of the ultimate Chilly Gonzales experience, and as unmissable as they come. Watch that entertaining video from a few months...
Video: Eleanor Friedberger - My Mistakes
Eleanor Friedberger - My Mistakes from Merge Records on Vimeo.
The Eleanor Friedberger record is one of our favourites of the year and My Mistakes a terrific single in its own right. We’ve been catching up this week, really enjoying this video to accompany the song. She plays for us tonight - still a handful of tickets left.
New video: Tribes - When My Day Comes
This bratty number from Tribes sounds a little like The Cure and a few other things we already know and love, but their personality tips us over the edge. Check out the new vid above
