Clock Opera on the oki-ni Mix Series
Clock Opera’s Ways To Forget is one of the finest records to come out this year. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have them preforming at Heaven this November (tickets still available here). Earlier this month they put out a mix for oki-ni so listen up and take in another dose of perfection from Clock Opera!
EYOE'S Guide to Nathan Fake

We are so eager to see him preform we put together a handy youtube list of hits for your viewing pleasure. So let’s take it away with our very own guide to Nathan Fake.

Brilliant Coverage on one of our Femme Faves -... →
We were working on a piece to introduce you to Las Kellies opener Keel Her when we stumbled over this absolute gem from London blogger Botwood. We can safely say that there’s no way we’d be able to outmatch his fervent fandom and thorough back cataloging so we’re just going to re-blog him and call it a day. It’s truly is a fantastic read.

Four Tet Remixes EYOE
You might have heard of the Four Tet all nighter that we’re putting on in November. It’s an incredible night curated by Kieran featuring some of the best electronic music we could have hoped for. Sadly the event has sold out but worry not, we have a unprecedented number of great shows to take your mind off of it. With that coupled alongside Four Tet being the behemoth of remixing...
Beirut / Field Day
Here’s a sun-dappled memory that is frozen in our memory since early June and well worth a second look. The campaign to get this going at Beirut’s Hammersmith Apollo show in September starts right here.
Francois and the Atlas Mountains - E Volo Love...
We’re huge fans of Francois and the Atlas Mountains and can’t wait to see them in a few weeks. Join us in appreciation and listen to their 2012 record ‘E Volo Love’ above!
London Americana
Celebrating America with Twin Shadow
In just over one week we have the phenomenal Twin Shadow coming to play a (now sold out!) show at Camden’s Dingwalls. Our Californian intern has also pointed out that Twin Shadow’s UK performance lines up with American Independence Day - something he insists is “a thing.” Bringing up a war we’d sooner forget, we asked this smug...
Hot Chip on Jools
We’ve been playing In Our Heads to death since it came out and we returned to their Jools Holland performance a little while ago to view the new tracks afresh. This take on the irrepressible ‘Don’t Deny Your Heart’ is great. Can’t wait to see them later in the year.
Apple Cart Radio - Francois and the Atlas...
Francois and the Atlas Mountains Radio
An exclusive here in the form of a brilliant Francois and the Atlas Mountains radio show recorded at Apple Cart Festival a couple of weeks ago. Make a hot drink and sit comfortable for some brilliant music.
Bleeding Heart Narrative - Mysterious Cults
Here’s one we’ve been spinning a lot lately by Bleeding Heart Narrative. Their lovely, weaving experimental pop is even better in the flesh, and luckily for you there are some free tickets to see them at the Shacklewell Arms on July 5th. Head HERE to download a ticket.
Video: Twin Shadow - Five Seconds
Mr. Shadow is back to warm our minds and ears on the 4th of July. A perfect date to rouse yourself with some all-american pop music. Here’s the video for the new one ‘Five Seconds’.
Here We Go Magic - Alone but Moving (Fan Vid)
We are big fans of fan videos. Occasionally song’s seen through the lens of a particularly astute fan make for a better video representation than official versions. This vid for ‘Alone But Moving’ by Here We Go Magic is particularly nice…
Neneh Cherry and the Thing - Dream Baby Dream...
Neneh Cherry And The Thing - “Dream Baby Dream” (Four Tet Remix) from stereogum on Vimeo.
Here’s a wonderful video to accompany Four Tet’s take on “Dream Baby Dream”. The whole album is giving us the chills on a daily basis and seems to be going to down well with others too - scoring an 8.0 on Pitchfork today, to add to gushing Line of Best Fit and Quietus...
Atlas Sound - Walkabout
We like Bradford Cox in any of his guises, be that lead singer of Deerhunter, experimental popped in Atlas Sound or crowd-baiter with his recent, epic take on My Sharona.
One of our favourite Cox moments in particular is his sample heavy juicing in ‘Walkabout’ featuring Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox A.K.A. Panda Bear. Refresh the memory above!
Neneh Cherry interviewed in the Metro
Neneh Cherry and the Thing join us in London soon. After hearing about the relaxed, improvisational nature of their shows we can’t wait - it sounds like there could be some real fireworks.
Take a read of this great interview in the Metro.
Stream: Nathan Fake - Iceni Strings
We’re big big fans of Nathan Fake and his latest E.P. already counts as a year highlight on the strength of just a handful of listens. You can hear ‘Iceni Strings’ below now and watch him at CAMP Basement on the 30th of August.
Here We Go Magic - How Do I Know
Fresh from their rousing slot at Field Day we have announced another show for Here We Go Magic. Their recent record ‘A Different Ship’ is a big favourite of the year so far for us (we’re almost exactly halfway!) and this small show at Dingwalls is going to be unmissable.
Sunless 97 + Palmistry
Tomorrow night sees a very exciting free one at Shacklewell Arms. We welcome Sunless ‘97 back who play with Palmistry on the support bill. Both artists seem to share a little common ground, tapping into a rich vein of homespun R&B sounds and deft electronics. It’s pop music but in a darker, more leftfield disguise. If that pricks your ears up then head down to the Shacklewell...

TNGHT! NXT WK
Collaborations are exciting aren’t they? Whether it’s Kreayshawn, Grimes and Blood Diamonds committing a ten-minute sing-what-you-see jawn to tape or Hudson Mohawke and Lunice coming together as TNGHT.
TNGHT make an appearence in London next week for a show that promises to be the party of the year at Village Underground. Don’t believe us? Take a listen to their debut...

Preview: Gorgeous George (Free Show)
Gorgeous George are one of the best, most fun live bands coming up in London right now. Their Eastern European music is inflected with Jamie T-esque inner city drawl and feels very distinctive.
Take a listen to ‘Overtime Wesley’ below…
